Fortune Cookie fortunes

Today’s poetry prompt was to write poems that were basically short messages one might find in a fortune cookie. It was fun, but strangely difficult!  I encourage you to write your own and add to my comments! C’mon, it’ll be fun!!  Here are my four:

To avoid a fall,
leaf well enough alone.

Keeping one’s head above water
prevents one from seeing the fish.

Feeding a stray cat
often leads to kittens.

Ice cream hath charms
to soothe the ravaged heart.
