What a long day, but I’ve gotten to the prompt at last. It is to write a “Sevenling,” a form with two tercet verses, followed by a one liner to sum it all up.
See that first tentative green spear
poking determinedly from the earth
and then two more snowdrop leaves.
Followed by crocuses, white and gold
and hellebore in all its colors,
and creamy multi-petaled camellia.
Soon the wild acres are covered with Spring.
