I Shouldn’t Be Here

Summer (The Green Hammock) Sir John Lavery

You know I shouldn’t be here.
But I’m so glad that I am.
This close, your presence endear.
I know I shouldn’t be here.
I guess I could disappear
but really don’t give a damn
You know I shouldn’t be here.
But I’m really glad that I am.

Written for Poetic Asides November poem-a-day challenge, prompt, I shouldn’t be here.
