Discontent

I imagine this is The Sun, reversed. A negative take on what life can be if we don’t pay enough attention. Remember, boys and girls, there is beauty everywhere if we look around and see it. Even on the saddest day, birds sing, blossoms bloom, and life abounds. Breathe it in.

With that, a triolet entitled “Discontent.”

Discontent

Day-to-day, month-to-month, year-to-year
Change is rare and when it comes we cry
Sun comes up, moon sets, we’re barely here
Day-to-day, month-to-month, year-to-year
We discontented few shed our tears
Until the pain passes, by-and-by
Day-to-day, month-to-month, year-to-year
Change is hard and when it comes we cry
